BOARD CERTIFIED DOCTOR

An affiliate with Novant Health Vein Specialists, the vein experts in Winston-Salem, Dr. Bradley Thomason is another partner at Novant Health Vein Specialists. He has been in the practice of vascular surgery in the area since 1994. While his partners are known as the varicose vein specialists in Winston-Salem, Dr. Thomason has become more involved with wound care initiatives in our region.

Dr. Thomason is a native of Lexington, NC and graduated from NC State University in Mechanical Engineering. After attending the WFU Bowman Gray School of Medicine, he did a surgery internship at the Medical College of Georgia, then returned to Winston-Salem to complete a residency in general surgery at WFUBMC. After practicing general and vascular surgery for three years, he resumed training with a Vascular Surgery Fellowship, serving as the first vascular fellow at WFUBMC. He is board-certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and vascular surgery. Novant Health Vascular Diagnostics was born out of his interest in non-invasive vascular imaging, and the needs of his patients. He serves as Medical Co-Director there, and is also an Registered Vascular Technician.

As his partner’s vein practice at Novant Health Vein Specialists practice grew, Dr. Thomason felt compelled to take a more active role in the treatment of diabetic foot infections, a problem of increasing magnitude in our population. This has led to his current role as Medical Director of Novant Health Wound Care-Charlois and director of wound care services at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center. Along with Novant Health Foot and Ankle Specialists, he is one of the physician leaders in the Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Limb Preservation Program, a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team effort directed at helping patients deal with limb-threatening problems.

We have a great team of health care professionals at our vascular center, from the front desk, to the nurses, to the vascular lab, to the physicians, and we take pride in providing compassionate care for each our patients.
